The beautiful Belle (Emma Watson) lives in a small town with her father, Maurice (Kevin Kline). One day, after getting lost in the woods, Maurice comes across a dark and icy castle, where he decides to wait. But inside lives the fearsome Beast. Belle comes to rescue her father, offering herself instead. Inside the castle, Belle discovers magical talking household objects who tell her that they and the Beast have been cursed.
